Help others, share knowledge, and keep a positive attitude.
Follow all LIYAB™ rules and the official Squad Code of Conduct.
Do not cheat, hack, or exploit game mechanics for unfair advantages.
Do not team kill, work against your own team, or reveal team information to enemies.
Do not be AFK or unassigned - inactive or unassigned players will be kicked from the server.
Do not use unarmed kits on non-seeding layers.
Do not destroy default HABs/FOBs during seeding.
Focus on team objectives and victory.
Pick kits that benefit your squad's specific needs.
Plan effectively during the staging phase.
Apologize in ALL chat immediately if you accidentally team kill.
Do not use disruptive audio in voice chat, including music, soundboards, voice changers, shouting, or background noise.
Use English only in command chat. For squad communications, Squad Leaders are responsible for ensuring all members can understand, with English being the recommended language.
Maintain active communication with Squad Leaders and Commanders
Use a properly functioning microphone and communicate in a clear, understandable manner during all gameplay sessions.
Practice efficient communication during tactical situations (firefights, staging phase, etc.) by sharing only mission-critical information and avoiding unnecessary chatter.
Use appropriate channels for different types of communication (local, squad, command).
Players must immediately comply if asked to stop disruptive audio behavior by any player or admin. Such requests constitute an official warning regardless of who makes them.
Use numpad keys to communicate directly with specific Squad Leaders when possible to reduce unnecessary Command channel traffic.
Do not squad bait or create squads without intention to lead, abandoning leadership, or transferring squads to obtain specialized kits.
Do not play without an appropriate Squad Leader kit.
No offensive, derogatory, or inappropriate squad names.
Place and maintain effective rally points and contribute to strategic FOB placement.
Squad leaders are free to kick squad members for any reason including for what the squad leader may perceive as “ineffective tactics”. Squad member kicks must be executed respectfully and must not circumvent/violate server rules nor breach the Squad Code of Conduct.
Squad Leaders must use working microphones and maintain clear voice communications with both squad members and Command about objectives, positions, and tactical information. Solo pilot Squad Leaders are included in this requirement due to aviation's transport and reconnaissance responsibilities.
Solo truck/boat logistics Squad Leaders may use chat communication as minimum requirement, though voice communication is preferred.
Failure to comply with Squad Leader rules may result in squad disbandment, restriction from squad leader role, or removal from the server.
Do not intentionally ram or crash helicopters, destroy friendly vehicles to block paths, or harm friendly units.
Do not steal claimed vehicles.
Do not claim more than one vehicle per squad.
Do not hold vehicles at main base longer than necessary for proper crewing and loadout (applies to all crewman kit vehicles only).
Vehicles that require a crewman role must be operated by at least 2 crewmen (driver and gunner).
Vehicle squads that lose a crew member in battle must make every attempt to return to the nearest safe FOB or main base to restore full crew.
Use the vehicle's complete name or clear identifier (M1A2, T72, BMP-1, BTR-90, UH-1Y, MI-8, Loach CAS) as your squad name for claiming.
While automated systems may accept partial names like "BTR," full identifiers are required for valid claims. Admin discretion can and will override automated assistance when names are insufficient.
Vehicle operators must be competent in basic vehicle operation and tactical deployment. Inability to operate vehicles effectively or asset wastage will result in crewman/pilot role restrictions.
Vehicle hierarchy (highest to lowest priority): MBT > MGS > Tracked IFV > Wheeled IFV > Tracked Recon.
Vehicle claiming is limited to one vehicle per squad to prevent resource hoarding and ensure equitable distribution.
Unclaimed vehicles may be temporarily used by squads that lost their vehicles or by higher-tier squads operating lower-tier assets, but must be returned immediately to main base or nearest safe FOB when properly claimed.
Squads operating unclaimed vehicles for 5+ minutes gain temporary ownership until vehicle destruction. When the vehicle respawns, the squad to properly claim it has priority ownership.
When multiple vehicles are destroyed simultaneously, spawn priority follows loss order: the squad that lost their vehicle first has claim rights to the first respawned vehicle of their type.
Monitor respawn timers carefully and do not attempt to claim vehicles with earlier spawn times than your own.
Vehicle or helicopter squads must be led by a Squad Leader using the appropriate pilot/crewman kit.
Vehicle squads are limited to 5 members maximum. Updated 2025-06-11
Helicopter squads are limited to 4 members maximum. Updated 2025-06-11
Maintain at least 2 crewmen for vehicles that require a crewman kit.
PROTECTED ZONE DEFINITION
Main safe zone is defined as the area between potential first capture points and the main base AND extends to include the full FOB creation marker radius when centered on the main base.
To identify potential first capture points for the opposing team, reference squadmaps.com for accurate positioning data. Do not rely on the in-game match info image, as it contains inaccuracies. Updated 2025-06-11
GENERAL PROHIBITIONS
Do not intentionally block, ambush, or trap enemy vehicles or infantry as they attempt to exit their protected main base area.
Do not rush enemy's first capture point if not contested in AAS/RAAS.
Do not target the enemy main base or its surroundings with direct attacks or indirect fire weapons.
Do not destroy friendly vehicle assets to block paths.
Do not patrol or loiter near the enemy main base without a tactical objective. Brief reconnaissance may be tolerated, but prolonged presence will be considered camping.
Do not block or engage enemy units on any bridges connecting to the southeast main base on Al Basrah.
VEHICLE & EQUIPMENT POSITIONING
Position indirect-fire vehicles and equipment (mortars, vehicle-mounted mortars, etc.) outside FOB creation mark radius from main base.
Deployable assets (FOBs, HABs, emplacements, TOWs, HMGs, and mortar tubes) must not be placed within range of enemy main base with the intent to block, suppress, or harass spawning units.
Blocking or mining main base exits is limited to one exit at a time, ensuring a reasonably pathed (asphalt/dirt) road remains clear for Main Supply Route access allowing safe passage.
ENGAGEMENT EXCEPTIONS
Brief engagements into the main base protection zone are permitted if the enemy vehicle is being pursued from outside the zone. Pursuit must be continuous and direct.
Firebase FOBs near the main base are treated like indirect-fire vehicles and can be engaged.
When engaging indirect-fire FOBs/vehicles, supporting units protecting them may be engaged, and self-defense is permitted if attacked by non-protected units during pursuit.
Any enemy units firing from their main base (indirect-fire weapons, long-range vehicles, infantry) forfeit protection and may be engaged.
GAME MODE SPECIFIC RULES
In Invasion mode, main camping rules do not apply until the first capture point is taken or the last point is contested.
In Insurgency/Destruction mode, exceptions apply due to potential cache spawns near the enemy's main base.
ENFORCEMENT & DISCRETION
Main camping rules are subject to admin discretion. If an admin deems something to be or not to be main camping, then it is as stated.
Some leniency may be given in the final moments of a match, particularly when the outcome is clear. However, abuse of this situation will still be subject to moderation at admin discretion.
Violations are determined case-by-case based on intent and tactical context. We cannot list every single possible scenario, and decisions must sometimes be made on-scene.
Violating these rules may result in warnings, kicks, or bans depending on severity and frequency.
Do not clan/group stack or cause unbalanced teams.
Do not separate from the team or play independently without coordination.
Only switch teams to play with friends when teams remain balanced.
Promote server balance and only switch sides for cohesive play.
Clans are limited to 9 players per team. If more than 9, players must split evenly between teams.
Special cases require admin permission.
Do not stream without a 5-minute delay or map obstruction.
Do not stream snipe for strategic advantage.
Do not share images/videos of ongoing matches that could reveal strategic information
Enable in-game or external streaming options to prevent strategic leaks.
Appeals must be submitted exclusively through appeal.gg/liyab. Punitive actions will not be discussed in-game or Discord to ensure proper documentation, allow thorough fact review, and enable banned players to present their perspective through the official process.
Violations may result in warnings, kicks, temporary or permanent bans depending on severity and frequency.
Admin action may be taken at any time to protect server integrity. This includes addressing loopholes not explicitly mentioned.
Admin decisions are final.
